Custom Made by Dale Tate at Tate Gunmaker's of Lone California, Professionally blued and case color finished by Doug Turnbull, Break action SXS Hammer 12 Gauge Shotgun, Features, Italian SIACE action, Front Ivory Bead Sight, Matted solid rib Blued barrels, Left barrel stamped "Tate Gunmaker" "Winner of The Vintage Trials, New York 2003", Right barrel stamped "Lone CA.", Dual matching rabbit ear hammers, Dual shell extractors and triggers, Cross bolt locking mechanism, Fine scroll engraved case colored lock plates and receiver, California English Walnut checkered pistol grip stock and forend made checkered and finished by "Dennis Earl Smith" at Stock Doctor, Tang safety, Red rubber recoil pad, Proved for steel or Hevi Shot, London Proofed, Barrel length, 32" chambered for 3" with IM and IM choke bores compatible with steel or and hard shot, LOP:14". SN:025. Condition: Excellent. Excellent mirror bores and strong action, All metal retains 98%+ original blued and case colored finish, Stock and forend are solid free of cracks and breaks with few faint handling marks on belly of stock, Good soft rubber recoil pad. Shotgun shows very little firing or handling wear overall. Note: Shotgun was Custom built and project was taken on by Dale Tate who had previously worked for Purdey, Shotgun was then Proofed in London and was built for turkey and waterfowl hunting where tight patterns and long reach are a primary goal.
