Status: Sold

This finely crafted three-dimensional mixed-media relief painting is an original work by Aaron Zook. This example features a classic Zook rural composition: a stone bridge arching over a serene waterway, flanked by a red barn and multistory farmhouse, all set within a lush landscape of rolling hills and flowering foliage. The artist’s characteristic applied sculptural components, including raised stonework and textured greenery, create the layered dimensionality that defines his work. Zook’s attention to detail can be seen in the way he integrates carved and painted elements to form a cohesive pastoral scene. The painting is mounted in an octagonal wood frame, typical of the presentation style associated with Zook’s small-format pieces. A strong example of Zook’s signature method and subject matter, this piece offers collectors an appealing and compact representation of one of Pennsylvania’s most iconic folk-art traditions. Dimensions: 12.25" x 12.25" x 2"D
