This exceptional three-dimensional mixed-media relief painting represents a collaborative work by Sam & Aaron Zook. This artwork showcases hallmark characteristics associated with Zook family craftsmanship: carved and molded figures, applied foliage, and textured landscape elements that create depth and immersive storytelling. In this farmyard scene, two children are depicted along a picket fence near chickens, with a gently sloping farm lane leading the viewer's eye toward a distant cluster of barns and fields. Mature trees frame the foreground, and the sky opens into a soft pastoral horizon. Every component; from the dimensional ground texture to the layered trees and structure details; reflects the meticulous, hands-on construction that defines Zook 3-D works. The painting is presented in a classic wood frame with an inner linen-style mat, complementing the warm, nostalgic tone of the composition. The frame and matting provide an elegant, exhibition-ready presentation that enhances both depth and character. A beautifully preserved and highly collectible example of Zook family artistry, this work captures the timeless simplicity of rural life in a richly dimensional form that remains emblematic of the Zooks’ enduring legacy in American folk art. Dimensions: 17.5" x 17.5" x 4"D
