This energetic acrylic on canvas highway scene by Dan Zook captures the excitement and camaraderie of a trucking convoy rolling across the Pennsylvania countryside. In the foreground, a bold red semi-truck leads the line, complete with chrome exhaust stacks pushing out dramatic plumes of black smoke. Behind it, a series of tanker trucks and rigs trail along the open road, each rendered with individualized character and movement. The lead truck bears a “Make-A-Wish” plate, adding an inspiring real-world connection to charity convoy events often seen throughout rural communities. Zook’s dynamic brushwork gives the roadway a lively sense of speed, while the sweeping green hills, distant overpass, and dense tree line set the scene within a recognizable Pennsylvania landscape.
