Three-dimensional folk art relief by Pennsylvania artist Aaron Zook, depicting a busy harvest scene in the Pennsylvania countryside. In the foreground, a horse-drawn wagon loaded with freshly harvested crops is tended by farm workers, while a large farmhouse, barn, and outbuildings overlook fields dotted with shocks of grain. Zook uses layered relief carving to create depth and movement, bringing the wagon, horses, and figures forward from the landscape. Rich golds and earth tones of the harvested fields contrast with the vivid red farm buildings and bright blue sky, while detailed textures in the crops, trees, and architecture showcase incredible craftsmanship. The composition effectively conveys both the labor and abundance of the harvest. This piece is a quarter of a four-piece seasonal set.
