Three-dimensional folk art relief depicting a traditional red covered bridge set within a tranquil winter landscape. The bridge spans a snow-lined stream winding through the foreground, while bare trees frame the scene and rolling hills rise in the distance beneath a soft winter sky. A small stone building near the bridge adds additional rural character and visual interest. Zook uses layered relief carving to create a strong sense of depth, with the covered bridge projecting prominently from the snowy landscape and serving as the composition's focal point. The vivid red structure contrasts beautifully against the cool whites, grays, and blues of the winter setting, while textured snow, detailed stonework, and carefully modeled trees demonstrate the quiality craftmanship. The scene exemplifies Zook's ability to combine carving, painting, and storytelling into a visually engaging work. This piece is a quarter of a four-piece seasonal set.
