Abe Zook is the son of Aaron Zook, and often worked with him, learning the skills and tricks of the trade. The fact that he learned from a master truly shines through in this piece. Down the driveway, amidst rows of fences, a young Amish couple is spotted gliding in a horse-drawn sleigh on their way to meet friends for sledding. While this artwork may be less intricate, it remains remarkable. The horse, sleigh and passengers "pop" as they appear to be riding out of the painting. Notable textures in the snow and background stand out, while the majority of the painting is comprised of varying shades of white and gray. Amidst the wintry white surroundings, the focal point truly captivates. It's truly a stunning piece. Signed and dated (1985) in the lower, right corner. Condition: No flaws found. Dimensions: 36" x 21.75" x 6".
